I can't find a way to e-mail you so i am posting this here sorry hope it gets to you.In chapter 5 page 50 of wielder's Awakening you refer to the river Adrinavelle to be 20 spans across. After looking up the system of measurement on google I found that a span is only 9 inches so in total your river is only 5 yards in width. This kind of destroys the imagery your going for. Hope this helps. Witch really makes this river more of a creak, and the blue river more a puddle.
You're right, Adam. I had someone else mention that to me as well. Most definitions have a span referring to the span of a "hand". I use it in the story as an "arm" span, roughly six feet. I can understand why it could be confusing and probably should have been more specific. Thanks.
